Editor’s Note: Apologies to the New York Times, and journalists Katie Rogers and Zolan Kanno-Youngs. I cannot post this New York Times’ article on my blog without commenting. It is “news,” except it isn’t. Instead of their article, linked below for you to view or read, I only include some quotes, and comments. Quotes bold, comments italic.

It’s imaginary, it’s fiction, it’s more Trump GOP Right-Wing deception. They want you to look away from what Kirk was doing, and doing for the GOP and Trump. His angry, hateful words –spread to young people.

Article by Katie Rogers and Zolan Kanno-Youngs (authors/journalists) Reporting from Washington, Sept. 15, 2025, Updated 4:23 p.m. ET

Trump administration officials on Monday responded to the activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination by threatening to bring the weight of the federal government down on what they alleged was a left-wing network that funds and incites violence, seizing on the killing to make broad and unsubstantiated claims about their political opponents.

Editor’s Note: Yes, especially “broad” and “unsubstantiated claims.” Vance can spout, media reports, just like you think you have to do with Trump’s words or tweets.

Investigators were still working to identify a motive in Mr. Kirk’s killing, but the Republican governor of Utah, Spencer Cox, has said that the suspect had a “leftist ideology” and that he acted alone.

Editor’s Note: These are false, no evidence of either. And yet it gets published. I don’t care if he’s all the 50 governors are saying that, they’d be wrong too.

The White House and President Trump’s allies suggested that he was part of a coordinated movement that was fomenting violence against conservatives — without presenting evidence that such a network existed. America has seen a wave of violence across the political spectrum, targeting Democrats and Republicans.

Editor’s Note: “–without presenting evidence….” as I know of no such groups, as you know that would be terrorism and that would have been investigated and that would have been known by now. So, the Epstein files, and now the imaginary “Terrorist Leftist Groups List.”

The goal, they said, was to categorize left-wing activity that led to violence as domestic terrorism, an escalation that critics said could lay the groundwork for crushing anti-conservative dissent more broadly.

Editor’s Note: More anonymous spouting from Trump’s followers. I know of no such organizations on the Left wing of politics in America. It’s a fantasy. For the GOP and Trump, Kirk funded buses to take students to the Capitol, January 6, in the attempted coup of the transition of the elected U.S. government. Verified by Perplexity, appended at end of this article

In their comments, Mr. Vance and Mr. Miller spoke in vague and menacing terms about far-left groups that they said facilitated violence. Editor’s Note: Good word choices – vague and menacing. That’s what I think whenever I think a moment of Vance or Miller.

“With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, eliminate and destroy this network and make America safe again for the American people.”

Editor’s Note: Another fishing expedition, wasting tax dollars, accomplishing little, finding nothing. If our “real” FBI and “real” DOJ (under “real” Presidents) never provided the American people with terrorism groups facts about the Left groups, their terrorism, and their violence, it doesn’t exist now.

In the wake of Mr. Kirk’s killing, Mr. Trump immediately blamed the “radical left” for much of the political violence in the country, and appeared to excuse violence on the right by saying that it was driven by people who “don’t want to see crime.”

Editor’s Note: “radical left” –oh those guys again, the opposition party, the one that stands for everything you don’t. Ah.

John Cohen, an intelligence official who worked in the Biden, Obama and Bush administrations, said the United States was “immersed in an epidemic of targeted attacks and mass shootings” but also noted the administration’s claims came before the investigation into Mr. Kirk’s assassination had been completed.

Editor’s Note: That covers it. Thanks for reading. Be careful what you believe, check sources, verify, and share your views. For now, it’s still Free Speech and Democracy.

Based on the search results, yes, there is factual evidence that Charlie Kirk funded buses to take young people to the January 6th Capitol rally. bbc+2

Verified Facts

Kirk’s Initial Claims: On January 4, 2021, Charlie Kirk posted a tweet (later deleted) stating that Turning Point Action and Students for Trump were “sending 80+ buses full of patriots to D.C. to fight for this president”.newsweek+1

Actual Numbers: Despite Kirk’s initial boast of 80+ buses, Turning Point Action ultimately sent seven buses carrying approximately 350 students to the January 6th rally. A Turning Point spokesman later acknowledged that Kirk’s deleted tweet was “ultimately inaccurate”.wikipedia+1

Funding Source: The buses were funded by Publix heiress Julie Fancelli, who gave Kirk’s organizations $1.25 million specifically to fund transportation to the January 6 event. wikipedia

Congressional Investigation

The January 6th Committee investigated Kirk’s role extensively. During his December 2022 testimony, Kirk invoked the Fifth Amendment when questioned about coordinating bus transportation to Washington D.C.. His organization provided the committee with 8,000 pages of records related to their January 6th activities. govinfo+1

Additional Context

One documented case shows that Robert Sanford, a Capitol rioter who allegedly hit police officers with a fire extinguisher, traveled to D.C. on a Turning Point USA bus. Court filings revealed he “traveled to the District on a bus organised by Turning Point USA” with approximately fifty other people. independent

The reports about Kirk funding buses for January 6th are factually accurate, though the actual scale (7 buses, 350 students) was significantly smaller than his initial public claims of 80+ buses.
