A report found that the GOP budget bill will add $2.4 trillion to the deficit.
Findings: An analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found that the budget bill would cut taxes by $3.75 trillion but add $2.4 trillion to the deficit over the next decade.

Background: Trump announced the higher tariff level during a visit with Pennsylvania steelworkers last week, promising it would “secure the steel industry in the U.S.”Effects: Economists say the fallout from the tariffs could be widely felt, as aluminum and steel are used in products such as household goods, cars and manufacturing machinery.
