Do you have a great idea for serving children, teens, or families? Here’s your chance to share it with the greater library community in New Orleans next June! The Call for Program and Poster Proposals for the ALA 2027 Annual Conference is now open.
Your stories, successes, lessons learned, research, and practical strategies can help fellow children’s and teen library practitioners bolster their work. Whether you have developed an engaging early-literacy initiative, a teen leadership program, or an innovative community partnership, your experience can inspire and spark ideas for your colleagues.
Strengthening Library Service to Children and Teens
Education programs are 60 minutes in length and an effective way to examine emerging trends, share strategies, present original research, and highlight programs that are shaping the future of library service to children and teens.
If your project is smaller in scope, a poster session might be the perfect fit for you. Poster presentations are 90 minutes and allow presenters to informally discuss their poster and work with interested attendees.

Submit Your Proposal
Proposal submissions are due September 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. And notifications will be made in December. Also, accepted program and poster presenters are eligible for a special registration discount.
