There are lots of great articles and resources available about the reunification of ALSC & YALSA that are keeping members informed about the process, plans, and anticipated changes. From committee changes and bylaws to member engagement, I’m grateful for the timely updates and conversation. Informally, of course, folks are having all kinds of feelings because these divisions mean something distinct to each of us. For me an optimistic sentiment wins the day- with enthusiastic excitement. Why? Because being a youth librarian means thinking about everyone under the age of 18 and those who care about and work with them.
