There’s a solid chance any time you turn on Food Network that you’re gonna see Guy Fieri and his spiky hair headed to Flavortown on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The show has filmed nearly 40 seasons, and that means visiting more than 1,250 restaurants around the country along the way (via dinersdriveinsandivelocations.com).

So it’s safe to say that Guy Fieri has seen — and tasted — it all. And you can taste it all too, if you’ve got a big appetite and you’re willing to do some traveling. But where to start?

A thousand restaurants is a lot to swallow, but what if you aim for, say, 50 of Fieri’s favorites? Well, Mashed has done all the work for you. We’ve gone across the map, state by state, to round up the tastiest and most “funkalicious” food destinations featured on Triple-D. Here are the best Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives restaurants in every state.

Best Food Network Hosts Ranked – Variety

By Clayton Davis, Carson Burton, August 22, 2022

from article…

Many of the emcees of Food Network have crafted their own lanes with signature dishes, and the ability to connect with viewers globally. From Bobby Flay’s laid-back approach to barbecuing to Ina Garten’s timeless approach to preparing a quick meal for friends, these cooks have anchored the cable channel since its 1993 inception.

To celebrate Italian chef Giada De Laurentiis’ birthday, Variety ranks the 14 best hosts and emcees of Food Network (and spinoff Cooking Channel) in the last 20 years. For the purposes of the list, we’re only citing those who were the host of a particular series, not guest judges. Although conquerors of the culinary world, don’t expect to see the names of veterans Julia Child, Wolfgang Puck or Anthony Bourdain (although they are some of the best in history).

The New York-based cable channel has produced some of the most entertaining and mouth-watering television shows of all time. Whether it’s Guy Fieri “rolling out” with his “Triple D” or Aarón Sánchez bringing the wizardry of Mexican flavors, there’s someone for everyone watching at home.

Bobby Flay Sets New Deal With Food Network After Stalled Negotiations – Variety

By Cynthia Littleton, Nov 22, 2021 4:00am PT

Bobby Flay and Discovery’s Food Network have reached an agreement on a new three-year contract, a deal that comes about six weeks after negotiations stalled because the sides were too far apart on financial terms.

The celebrity chef, restaurateur and author has set an exclusive pact that will keep him in the Discovery family through the middle of the decade and up to his 30th on-air anniversary with the cabler.

The new contract also expands the scope of content opportunities available to Flay’s Rock Shrimp Productions, which produces most of his shows for Food Network. And the wide-ranging deal comes just as Discovery is poised to grow significantly through its pending merger with WarnerMedia.

Legendary chef Bobby Flay and the Food Network are set to part ways after 27 years, Variety’s Cynthia Littleton reported on Thursday.

Flay and the network were reportedly in the middle of contract negotiations, ahead of the expiration of his current three-year deal later this year, and sources told the publication the network ended the talks. Variety reported that a source close to the network cited disagreements over financial terms as reasoning behind the TV giant wanting to cut ties. Food Network didn’t immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.

When reached for comment by Variety, Flay’s representatives at WME reportedly declined and cited a “policy of not commenting on active negotiations.” WME did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
