As we wrap up 2025, I want to take a moment to share what my team and I have been working on this year — and how that effort has delivered real results for families across Virginia’s Seventh District.
Every day, my focus is simple: showing up, listening to your concerns, and delivering on my promises. As a 25-year Army veteran, I know that progress is never a solo effort. It takes a strong, dedicated team — and I’m proud of the work our office has done to be accessible, responsive, and effective for you.
As always, I am honored to serve you in Congress. Keep reading to learn more about what we’ve accomplished on your behalf this year.
Showing Up for VA-07
This year, my team and I met with neighbors across the Seventh District at more than 400 events — from town halls and small business visits to veterans roundtables and community forums.
Those conversations matter. They shape our work in Washington and help turn real concerns into real action.
One of those conversations led directly to the passage of our first bill, which ensures that children of Reservists and National Guard members can attend school while their parents are serving our country.
Delivering for You
One of my most important responsibilities in Congress is helping Virginians cut through red tape and navigate the federal government. In 2025, my district team and I: Returned more than $4.2 million in backlogged benefits to constituents Resolved over 1,450 constituent service cases Assisted Virginians with veterans’ benefits, Social Security, Medicare, passports, IRS issues, and disaster assistance
Need help with the federal government?
Whether you’re having trouble with the Social Security Administration, the VA, Medicare, OPM, or any other federal agency, my office is here to advocate for you.
If you’ve ever contacted my office for help, you know how seriously we take this responsibility.
On Capitol Hill
In Washington, I focused on pragmatic, bipartisan solutions to the issues I hear about most from Virginians. This year, I: Introduced 45 bills — 44 of them bipartisan Cosponsored nearly 665 pieces of legislation Led efforts to lower costs, strengthen workforce training, support military families and veterans, improve public safety, and protect access to health care
I also secured provisions in major legislative packages to support service members, federal workers, and families right here in the Seventh District.
Advocating for You
Beyond legislation, I used my voice and oversight authority to advocate for our community. In 2025, my office: Sent more than 120 letters to federal agencies and administration officials on behalf of constituents Led or joined bipartisan oversight efforts impacting Virginia families, service members, and small businesses
When Virginians are facing rising costs or federal decisions that hit our Commonwealth hard, I will always speak up.
