November is often looked at as the perfect time to reflect on what we are thankful for, and what better way to celebrate than to honor an influential colleague with a nomination for ASLC’s 2026 Distinguished Service Award! Let your colleagues know the impact they have made on your life as a library professional, as well as the lives of others in the field. The Distinguished Service Award is given to an individual member of ALSC who has made significant contributions to, and made an impact on, library service to children and/or ALSC. The recipient receives $2,000 and an engraved pin at the ALSC Membership Meeting during ALA Annual Conference.
