Popeye, Tintin and more will enter the public domain in the new year

It’s the day the nonagenarian cartoon characters officially enter the U.S. public domain along with a treasure trove of other iconic works. [Editor’s note: And many other works, from 1929, including Hemingway’s Novel, “A Farewell to Arms.”
