Staff from the Library of Congress will be in Nashville, exhibiting and presenting, at the annual conference of the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), November 5-6, 2026. Visit us in booth 304/306 on the exhibit floor. We’ll have representatives from the Library’s education team and the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled — a free national library program that provides braille and recorded materials to people who cannot read or handle print material — to answer your questions about the Library’s programs and resources.

On Thursday, November 5, education staff will present a Spark and Tell session on “Engaging with Primary Sources from the Library of Congress” from 10:40-11:10 a.m. in Delta Mezzanine 4. The session will introduce a sample of the rich materials available online from the Library of Congress, model teaching strategies for incorporating primary sources, and conclude with a tour of shortcuts to finding resources.
Highlights of available resources include:
- Teachers Site – resources and strategies for educators, including themed primary source sets, self-paced learning modules, and the Teaching with the Library blog.
- Free to Use and Reuse Sets – curated collections of digital images on a variety of topics.
- Blogs.loc.gov – additional blogs, written by experts at various Library divisions, such as rare books, manuscripts, maps and more.
- Veterans History Project – Library initiative that collects, preserves, and displays the firsthand recollections of U.S. military veterans.
- The By the People crowdsourced transcription program
- National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled – a free national library program that provides braille and recorded materials to people who cannot read handle print materials.
