Last night, at their 2026 Literary Salon in Minneapolis, stalwart indie publisher Graywolf Press unveiled a new logo, developed in partnership with Minneapolis-based branding studio Hi, Hello.

This is the press’s third logo in 52 years; according to a press release, it is meant to evoke “the three wolves in the original logo, as well as the scrappy DIY nature of our beginnings and our continued attention to craft. Its texture has a human touch, reflecting our deep care and involvement in every step of a book’s life.”

But this new wolf, the press explains, “is bolder and fiercer, giving us an outside to match who we are on the inside in 2026.” These days, “Graywolf seeks out ‘books with teeth’—perspectives deeply embedded in the world around us, but with a vision that looks upward and outward to map new possible futures. Our books are sharp, adventurous, off-kilter, and memorable. They take you by surprise, shake things up, then claim a spot on your bookshelf for years to come.”

Here at Lit Hub, we have to agree.
