That Bandcamp link above = new music by me! Give it a listen while you read!
I haven’t done one of these posts in awhile. I wasn’t planning on it, but I received an email from Google Maps saying one of my reviews was really popular. Back in 2024, AnthroDesk asked me to review one of their standing desks. I posted about it – I made a blog post, a video, and some photos. And apparently I also published a Google Maps review (I think the company asked for that). That Google Maps review has received 1000 views, of all things.
Which begs the question … who’s looking at office furniture reviews on Google Maps?
Anyway … that got me thinking about the content I made last year. So … Here’s what I did!
Blog posts: This is my most focused things, mostly posting about emerging tech trends and libraries. My blog received 21,792 views in 2025. Not too shabby, since I only posted 7 blog posts last year! My most popular blog post in 2025 was AI policies for Libraries – some observations, with 1591 views. And since I was checking – my first post was in 2004! I’ve been blogging for 22 freaking years!
Instagram: I have 858 followers on Instagram, and post a variety of content there. My most popular content was a quick video of me playing a virtual drum set (a fun Christmas present from my son), with 1455 views.
TikTok: I have 464 followers on TikTok, and post a variety of things there. My most popular video was one of me complaining about how people drive in the snow in Topeka. 22,000 views (posted in December!).
Facebook: I have 2447 followers and friends on Facebook. My most popular post in 2025 was a photo gallery of my 36th anniversary, with 1628 views! Mostly, my posts here are funneled over from Instagram.
YouTube: I have 1541 subscribers on YouTube, and haven’t done much there lately. In 2025, I posted one short video about a new snare drum that received 1950 views. The whole channel received 7323 views in 2025. Maybe I should post more!
LinkedIn: I have 2466 followers here. I don’t do a lot here – I mostly repost my blogposts. But those posts get views and reactions – 2355 impressions there in the last year.
I also published 3 articles (all in Computers in Libraries magazine) and gave 16 talks! Mostly webinars.
Also, on the music front, I recorded an album (it’s linked at the beginning of this blog post)! If you’re curious, here’s a link to the album on Bandcamp (listen for free), and you can find it on most streaming platforms (here’s the Spotify link).
So what’s this mean? Not all that much, really! Just having fun looking at stats. Also, something for me to remember in 2026 – my content gets read, watched, and listened to … when I post something. That’s still pretty cool, after all these years!
Thanks to everyone who read, watched, and listened in 2025. More to come in 2026!The post My Top Content & Stats for 2025 first appeared on David Lee King. Read original article: Read More
