2025 ALA Youth Media Awards and Mock Award Programs

Tomorrow’s the big day! The 2025 Youth Media Award announcements will take place on Monday, Jan. 27th at 8:00 a.m. MT during LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience. Those not in Phoenix for LibLearnX can watch a livestream of the award announcements, which will also be available on the American Library Association Facebook page.

In preparation for these announcements, readers of all ages have been trying their best to decide what THEY think the winners will be. They’ve been sharing their results on the ALSC Blog’s 2025 Mock YMA Elections Results Page.

Here is a list of the Youth Media Awards (YMAs) which will be announced tomorrow.

• Caldecott Medal
• Newbery Medal
• Coretta Scott King Book Awards
• Geisel
• Printz
• Sibert
• Pura Belpré
• Batchelder
• Sydney Taylor
• Stonewall
• Asian/Pacific American
• Schneider Family

You too can participate! If your school, book club, library, online book group, bookstore, or informal coffee klatch has held a Mock Election program, submit your results using this form. We’ll get it added to our 2025 Mock YMA Elections Results page.

And don’t forget to tune in tomorrow (January 27th) morning at 8:00 am MT to learn about the real winners! You can watch a livestream of the award announcements. The announcements will also be available on the American Library Association Facebook page.
