Walt Disney and his brother Roy Disney pen a deal with Margaret Winkler, one of the leading distributors in animation at the time, to fund 12 episodes of the Alice Comedies. Known at the time as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, this contract is viewed as the start of the Walt Disney Company, as it’s known today. Walt went on to write and produce all 57 episodes of the series that launched his career.

Who’s ready for next season?
As the Kansas City Chiefs continue to celebrate their 34-31 win over Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, football fans are already looking forward to next season and the chance to play for a championship in Super Bowl 58.

With the arrival of spring training, which begins Feb. 15 this year, millions of fans make the pilgrimage to Florida and Arizona to spend sunny days at intimate Grapefruit League and Cactus League ballparks, sizing up established stars, hot prospects and their favorite team’s chances for the new season.

Sports medicine specialist Dr. Kody Moffatt knows how seeing Damar Hamlin collapse in cardiac arrest on “Monday Night Football” has frightened parents of young athletes.
“Almost every family that I’ve seen in clinic since Tuesday morning has asked about this,” said Moffatt, division chief of sports medicine at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
“They were worried about chest impacts.
“Such life-threatening injuries are extremely rare, and though it now appears that the 24-year-old Buffalo Bills safety is recovering, the incident was a gut punch reminder of how quickly injuries can happen.
Murder, mystery, intrigue, and the machinations of the macbre hold a lot of what movie-goers find most entertaining and thrilling about storytelling.
Found within the idea of not-knowing, the classic “Whodunit?” offers something in the foundation of its conception that other genres do not: An active role for each viewer as a guest-detective.
The best murder mysteries/whodunits do just that, they bring the audience into the story, taking them on a ride, introducing characters, obstacles, and setting, to deliver the poignant punch of mystery.
This mystery is what captivates each movie-goer and puts them on both a chase and a race to the finish line, as viewers are tantalized by the mystery and galvanized in their participant-watcher role of both trying to inwardly figure out “who did it” while watching the plot unfold toward the ultimate revelation that either confirms their suspicions or gives them the best “A-Ha!” moment.
Over the years, there have been several movies that have done this extremely well. Here are some of those, ranked.
10/10 Clue (1985)
Guber-Peters Company
Based on the original board game of the same name, Clue revolves around six guests who are mysteriously invited to a mansion for a dinner, but when the host of the dinner is murdered, the guests and the attending staff are all suspects as they attempt to figure out who is the killer. The movie is considered a brilliant comedy while simultaneously offering a great mystery to solve.
